Group Social Work Using Research Of Community Home-based Care Services Under The Perspective Of Active Aging

With the continuous reform of the economic and political system in China, civil lifequality of our Chinese people get improved constantly, while the national government should pay much attention to the pension business because of the grim aging situation. Since X community be as the first batch of pilot from the year 2008whenhome-based care services began to offer in communities,it implies the relevant policies according to the demands by the national government combined with the actual condition of the community, its experiences can do some help to the development of home-based care services in communities in Beijing and also be the reference suggestions to build a universal type of old-age social welfare system with the characteristics of the capital. X community,which is located in the west district in Beijing, started to employ professional social workers from 2010, it then provide case work, group work, community work and other professional services. In order to form a cross-professional and co-operation model of home-based care services, which isalsocentered the needs of the elderly, in the meanwhile family members and administrative services can take part in looking after the old men. The old men can enjoy the warm home care and daily life, and devote themselves to the development of the home-based carein communities.Social participation is one of the three pillars from the active aging perspective.It points out thatwhen much attention paid to the importance of health and security of the old men,social participation of them cannot be ignored at the same time.Social participation can help the elderly people get the ability of realizing their social value after retired,in the meanwhile, it makes the elderly people be the problem solvers.Thisresearch analyze the data collected from the X community with scientific methods,then finds out that with the home-based care services get improved gradually,itnot only meets the basic needs of the elderly in daily life,but also the entertainment aspects,while higher level demands has cropped up.Younger-aged elderly group just retreat from their previous social roles,they hope to be able to play and create valuefor the community and society,and also make contributions to the pension business.Therefore, the author take the social participation and self-construction needs of younger-aged elderly group and the daily life care needsof the older-aged elderly into consideration, carry out group work with professional social work skills, expect the activity can meet the needs of the team members. Finally, based on the aim of this research,analyze the results and shortcomings of this study as a whole with professional social work perspective. The author found that based on the active aging perspective, the method of group social work is feasible and effective while applied to meet the needs of the elderly in the X community.
