Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Community Home Care Services From The Perspective Of Active Aging

Objective This study aims to explore the problems of community-based elderly care services from the perspective of positive aging,and propose corresponding measures to improve the quality of community-based elderly care services and the quality of life of the elderly.Specifically,the study will focus on the three dimensions of health,participation,and security of the elderly,aiming to provide useful insights and suggestions for improving community-based elderly care services and promoting positive aging of the elderly.MethodsThis article conducts a study on the current status of community-based elderly care services in Nangang District,Harbin City,from the perspective of positive aging,using two research methods: literature research and questionnaire survey.Literature research involves analyzing relevant literature and policy documents on community-based elderly care under the background of positive aging,to clarify the connotation of community-based elderly care services.The questionnaire survey focuses on the three dimensions of health,participation,and security,and analyzes the problems of community-based elderly care services in Harbin City through the analysis of the questionnaire.ResultsThrough analyzing the questionnaire,we found that there are mainly the following problems in the community-based elderly care services in Harbin:in terms of health,(1)the supply of community health services is unbalanced with the needs of the elderly;(2)the community has insufficient psychological health services for the elderly;in terms of participation,(3)the willingness and behavior of the elderly to participate in community activities are inconsistent;(4)the types of community-based elderly care activities are single;(5)the level of participation in social activities is low;in terms of guarantee,(6)the coverage of medical and elderly care insurance for the elderly is not comprehensive;(7)there is a lack of supporting facilities for community-based elderly care;(8)the community lacks personnel for elderly care services.ConclusionBased on the field investigation in Harbin and the current status of community-based elderly care services in Nangang District,Harbin,targeted countermeasures and suggestions for improving community-based elderly care services in Harbin were proposed as follows:(1)improve the quantity and quality of elderly care health services provided by communities;(2)improve the psychological health service system of community-based elderly care institutions;(3)increase the willingness of the elderly to participate in community activities;(4)enrich the types of community-based elderly care services;(5)enhance the ability of the elderly to participate in social and community activities;(6)increase the elderly’s insurance awareness of community-based elderly care services;(7)strengthen the guarantee of community-based elderly care hardware facilities;(8)strengthen the guarantee of elderly care service human resources.Through the research and discussion in this article,we hope to provide some reference and suggestions for the development of elderly care in Harbin.
