In recent years, with the deepening of aging population in China,the elderly population growing ranks, take care of the elderly has become the focus of the society. The level of economic development in China can not provide the economic foundation for the development of aging, showing the characteristic of “old before getting rich”,and it is a challenge to deal with the problem of aging in our country. With the development of society, the family care mode what Chinese nation for thousands of years has been impacted, and getting weaken. As a modern institutional care model has exposed many problems. Late start, low degree of specialization, scarce of professional service personnel, the quality of service can not be guaranteed, the service costs and so on, a series of problems are restricting the development of institutional care. The traditional family care and institutional care is gradually showing does not match with the elderly care need, but the community service has become better and better, and the community collective consciousness is gradually accepted by the public. Community covers regional、public resources, and many other advantages, gradually become the carrier and rely on the elderly care service, the elderly community care gradually accepted. Community care can lighten the pressure of take care of the elderly in family care, at the same time, to overcome the drawbacks of institutional care. It Is a cross between a home care and institutional care for the elderly care model, and make up the disadvantage of family care and institutional care, it has gradually developed in China. This paper is taking advantage of this opportunity, to study the elderly community care in urban areas.With the theme of elderly community care in urban areas, the author takes H community in Hang Zhou as the research object for case study. In this research, the author uses the method of literature research, questionnaire and structured interview to realize the community care of aged people status, the service needs of elderly community care, and professional quality of community care service personnel. Summary the problems of community care in H community, In order to refract problems of elderly community care in urban areas, including the single service form, lack of funds, shortage of specialized personnel, services and demand mismatch. In addition, under the guidance of the theory of community care, the author expand In addition, under the guidance of the theory of community care, the author expand the analysis of elderly community care’s advantages and the service needs of elderly community care in urban areas. The community care originated in Europe, and the community care in our country is still in its infancy, therefore, the experience and lessons from the practice of community care at home and abroad is great significance of further promoting China’s urban elderly community care. Finally, in view of the problems of community care in our country, reference and practice development of community care at home and abroad, combined with China’s specific national conditions, and put forward the corresponding suggestion.Through the study, the author hopes that the study can enrich and strengthen urban elderly community care theory, positioning the role of the community in the elderly care, and take the actual needs of older persons as breakthrough, rich the content of community care services, attracting more specialized personnel, establish and improve community care quality assessment system, strengthen the relevant legislation, fully mobilize social forces to join in the elderly community care in urban areas, to meet the increasingly diverse care needs of elderly, effectively alleviate the degree of aging, promote the development of urban elderly community care career.
