Research On The Social Care Services Of Empty Nest Elderly In Urban Community From The Perspective Of Social Support Theory

China’s population has entered the stage of rapid growth of the elderly population,the elderly care problem is becoming more and more urgent.Tai’an City in Shandong province with the accelerating pace of economic development,greatly promote the urbanization process,the acceleration of population to big cities,the empty nester is increased year by year,but the overall pension policy and basic endowment facilities did not keep up with the growing demand of endowment,especially the empty-nest elderly problems gradually highlights,so this article chose a street X community Tai’an City empty-nesters as the research object.This study uses the Social Support theory and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory to analyze the social support of empty-nesters in X community from four dimensions of economic support,life care,spiritual consolation and active consciousness.Research methods to choose the combination of quantitative and qualitative research,using questionnaire and structured interview,understand empty-nesters and non-empty-nester pension demand and access to social support,to focus on analysis of empty nest elderly in the pension in the special requirements of social support and highlight the difficulties and finally from the main body of social support,namely the formal and informal support two angles to improve empty-nesters pension difficulties that occupy the home are proposed.This study finds that at present,empty nesters in X community show polarization in terms of economic support.Some empty nesters have urgent material needs and a single economic source.Most empty-nesters have great needs in spiritual comfort,and the current spiritual comfort support fails to meet their needs;In terms of daily care and medical care,the demand of empty nesters for home service is significantly higher than that of non-empty nesters.Based on the results of the survey,the most suitable and accepted model for empty-nesters is the community home-based model.The reasons for the above problems are related to a variety of factors.This study summarizes the following three aspects:First,the function of family endowment is gradually weakened and the supporting ability is reduced;Second,the community pension service awareness is weak,support capacity is insufficient;Third,the community home-based care system has not been improved,and lack of support capacity.In order to solve the problem of empty-nesters’ needs for home-based care,it is necessary to take the community as the carrier,the government,social organizations and other subjects to intervene in the community,expand their functions at the community level,and build a relatively perfect social support system.
