In recent years, with the acceleration of urbanization process in China. Farmer havelost the land they live on due to expropriation by government or business,which led toland decreasing.When the landless farmers lose their land,it means that they changetheir original way of land so that they have to be forced to a new environment to seeknew job. Therefore, not only are landless peasants involved in the issues of their survivaland development, but also associated with that of social stability and national economicdevelopment. It becomes an important factor for landless farmers which influences socialharmony and economic development. The issue aroused the whole society’s concern.Thus,it is of important practical and profound historical significance to solve theemployment problem of landless peasants, which may enhance sustainable livelihoodsfor landless farmers and be beneficial for development of economy and society in China.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction. It mainly describes the background of the issues,and elaborates current research status for landless employment at home and abroad,meanwhile, introduces the research method.The second section overall outlines some problems that exist in the process ofemployment of landless peasants, and makes the relevant definition for landless peasantslabor and employment. Meanwhile it discusses the importance of the employmentproblem for landless farmers during the process of urbanization.The third part analyzes the main factors affecting China’s current employment oflandless peasants mainly from three aspects: government, society and the individual.The fourth part is the recommendation and strategy for issues of landless peasants’employment. This is the focus of this article which follows the principle: finding asolution based on reasons. Recommendations and proposed countermeasures areanalyzed mainly from three areas: government, business community and individuals.The fifth part is the conclusion, and to make the summary about the full text.
