Research On The Language Use Of The Mongol Nationality In The Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture In Xinjiang

Minority language is a kind of national resource in need of protection.Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of Bayingolin is one of the main settlements of Oriat Mongolian. Due to the long exposure to the multi-ethnic region, local Mongolian language features exhibits distinctive characteristics.This is a study which takes Oirat Mongolian Bavaria region for instance, combining household questionnaire with interview,supplemented by literature. Investigate and analysis of the region’s Mongolian language usage, language attitude of media resources, the use situation of spoken and written language in education systems, in order to understand their language resources.Mother language is the first language of most of the Mongolian and the main families’ language. Oirad Mongolian belongs to the strong vitality of language resources.Mandarin, Uighur ethnic responsible for communications among ethnic communities, multilingual communication mode is the mainstream of life in Bavaria Oirat Mongolian language.Multi-language capability factors as language environment, age, occupation, level of education and so on. The level of putonghua of Youth is superior to the old man as a whole.But teenagers’ language master species gradually reduced.Language usage in the field of education has its particularity and independence,performance in language ability,family language usage and mandarin level,etc.Language competence of the teachers in education system need to be strengthened, students’ overall high standard of Putonghua, but there is gaps between Minority Ethnic Students and Min Kao Han Students. Native speaking ability groups of students is higher than the written language capabilities,multi-language capability decline.Bilingual teachers should be strengthened,attention to student’s mother tongue education.In addition, the Bavaria region Oirat Mongolian media resources although some development, but still not rich, we need to increase efforts to develop the Oirat Mongolian language resources, particularly related to media resources, to take effective measures to protect Tod Mongolian resources, promote national Inheritance and development of culture.
