An Investigation On The Current Situation Of Hani Language Usage In Gekui Township, Luchun County, Yunnan Province

Hani is living in a minority of China’s southwest frontier,a total population of 1.66 million people(2010),mainly distributed in Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture,Yuxi,Puer and Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture and other places in Yunnan Province.The Hani ethnic group is a cross-border ethnic group,which is also distributed in Thailand,Vietnam,Laos and Myanmar.Hani language belongs to the Chinese language of Tibetan language.The usage of Hani language is complex and unique,which has certain theoretical significance and application value in linguistics.Gekui township jurisdiction in Yunnan province over nine village(community),respectively Gekui village committee,Epu village committee,Ema village committee,Halu village committee,Aiguo village committee,Tuoniu village,Jiamei village committee,Zixiong village committee,Haotai community.The sampling survey from two villages,the township government is a distance is relatively far,geographical location is relatively remote Hani village move later male village,the other is a close distance to the township government,the transportation more convenient Hani and Yi intermingled Haotai community."Cultural register book","400 Hani language basic vocabulary words","Hani language use attitude questionnaire"we used,integrated individual character interviews from macroscopic and microscopic two angles respectively analysis Gekui township of native language and Chinese language use.The thesis is divided into five parts:Chapter one is an introduction to the reasons and significance of the topic selection in this thesis,and the research on the language and culture of Hani people at home and abroad and the research on the use of other minority languages.Finally,the author introduces the humanities,geographical situation and main methods of investigation.Chapter two analyzes the use of Hani language and Chinese present situation in Edong village committee and Haotai community,comparing the differences and similarities between two villages of Hani language usage and trying to find out the reason.Through interviews with representative characters,we can understand the specific local customs,cultural background and influence factors of bilingual use.The third chapter analyzes the differences of the basic vocabulary of Hani language from the perspective of age,gender and culture education degree.The fourth chapter analyzes the language usage attitude of Gekui township and the requirements and expectations for the use of mother tongue,Chinese and the next generation language.Chapter five analyzes the overall characteristics of the hani language in Gekui and predicts its development trend.Conclusion summarizes the results of this survey and points out that the research is insufficient.
