The Study On The Domestic Policy Of Prince Sihanouk

Prince Norodom Sihanouk played a very important role in the process of modern history of Cambodian.He won independence for Cambodian through peaceful diplomacy.He then decided to abdicate and create a political party in the identity of the prince,and finally directly controlled the regime in Cambodian.Under the guidance of the idea of“Buddhist socialism”,Sihanouk implemented a series of political,economic and social measures in Cambodian.These measures not only ensured the stability and development of the country, but also made his own power and political prestige reached its peak,and created a“Sihanouk era in Cambodian”.In the mid-1960 s,within the drawbacks of these domestic policies continued to appear,Sihanouk of Cambodian’s political control gradually weakened, which forced him to step down in the NOL coup.While Sihanouk’s domestic policies had historical limitations in the defense of the monarchy and the Buddhist tradition.But it objectively maintained the independenceof Cambodian,and promoted the modernization of Cambodian’s social economy.It was a new attempt to explore the development of the national construction after the independence of Cambodian.
