| With the rapid development of economic globalization, Chinese people pay much attention to global financial news, which triggers the growth in volume and need for financial news trans-editing.This thesis is a practice report on E-C financial news trans-editing based on the author’s trans-editing practice in Huanqiu.com. By analyzing the features and functions of financial news headline, lead, and body, some typical problems are found in the trans-editing of English financial news, including inaccurate and in-attractive expression in financial news headline, lengthy sentence and insufficient summary in financial news lead, and redundant information and logic confusion in financial news body. To solve the above problems, this thesis explores the corresponding trans-editing approaches to the trans-editing of financial news headline, lead, and body under the guidance of the Skopostheorie, such as addition, shift, division, combination, and omission. |
