This is the report of a survey which focuses on MI teachers’ selection and use of teaching material. The survey covers a total number of 52 MI teachers from a sample of 15 schools nationwide. As the survey’s result, this report includes a description of the sample design, instrument development, data collection, file preparation, and analysis results. Topics covered in the report include MI teachers’ attitude and understanding toward teaching material, their selection and use of teaching material, and the considerations behind their selection. Among the findings are:(1) despite the consensus on the important role that teaching material plays in the actual teaching process, many MI teachers always have difficulty in selecting proper teaching material and would like additional assistance on how to select and use the material;(2) a sizable number of teachers have applied self-compiled teaching material in actual teaching; as for the list of reasons behind this practice, providing the latest material tops the rank;(3) students’ ability and the authenticity of teaching material are two major considerations for MI teachers when they select teaching material; and(4) MI teachers’ personal experiences and seminars that they attend altogether exert considerable influences on their selection and use of teaching material.
