The Research Of Attentional Bias And Drug Craving In Female Abstinent Heroin Users

As a worldwide problem drug addiction attracted the attention of scholars and studying the psychological function of addicts can provide practice evidence for theory to Drug rehabilitation. At present, most of the studies found that drug addict have attention bias to drug-related stimulus, it is found that the attention bias has close correlation with the craving for drugs. However, currently there is no uniform scale to measure the craving for drugs of drug addicts. The other hand, previous studies have shown the form of attention bias include attention avoids and attention towards,and now more researches on attention towards, less on attention avoid. Therefore, two studies were carried out to make Chinese drug craving scale and investigate the relationships between attention avoids and attention towards and drug-craving.In study one make The Obsessive Compulsive Drug Use Scale(OCDUS) and The Desires for Drug Questionnaire(DDQ) to localization and standardization, mainly study the reliability and validity of questionnaire after localization.Reliability through Cologne coefficient and validity analysis through exploratory factor analysis.Study 2 investigated the attention bias of abstinent heroin users.With probe detection task, divide them into attention avoids group and attention towards group, and then study the relationship between attention avoids and attention towards and drug craving.The first study results found that The Obsessive Compulsive D rug Use Scale(OCDUS)(OCDUS) and The Desires for Drug Questi onnaire(DDQ) both have 3 topics changes in dimensions, remainin g topics consistent with the results of original questionnaire,two que stionnaires both have high validity and can be used in the study.The second study found that the consistency level of attention avoi ds group and attention towards group to drug stimulus are significa nt different in the probe detection task. The reaction time of attention bias group under consistent conditions is significantly shorter tha n that under inconsistent conditions, no significant difference in acc uracy rate; reaction time of attention avoid group under consistent c onditions is significantly longer than that under inconsistent conditio ns, no significant difference in accuracy rate. Attention bias group a nd The Obsessive Compulsive Drug Use Scale and The Desires for Drug Questionnaire(DDQ) were significantly positively correlated.Specifically positively related with "desire" dimension in The Obses sive Compulsive Drug Use Scale and positively related with "desire" and "negative reinforcement" dimension in The Desires for Drug Questionnaire; attention avoid group was negatively correlated with The Obsessive Compulsive Drug Use Scale, Specifically negatively with "desire" dimension.Based on the above findings, conclusions of this study are:Due to cultural differences,there are some differences between Chinese version of The Obsessive Compulsive Drug Use Scale and The Desires for Drug Questionnaire and the original questionnaire, but overall validity is good and can be applied to studies of craving of heroin addicts in China.Differences between attention bias group and attention avoid group in The Obsessive Compulsive Drug Use Scale and The Desires for Drug Questionnaire may be two reasons, one is due to the different measuring aspects, The Obsessive Compulsive Drug Use Scale is to measure the relatively stable drug craving and The Desires for Drug Questionnaire is to measure the current state; another is the fluctuating state of craving degree of drug addicts, not a constant. Two group personnel are significantly related to The Obsessive Compulsive Drug Use Scale,which shows that The Obsessive Compulsive Drug Use Scale measure a relatively stable desire tendency.But attention avoid group and The Desires for Drug Questionnaire are not significantly related, because drug desire questionnaire measure the current state of desire, maybe currentlydesire degree of avoid group declined, also maybe declined desire degree induces avoided performance.
