Around the middle of the 17th century severe turmoil in society.extended periods of war and ethnic rebellion broke up the existing structure of society.Scholar officials of the time and their long held concept of Sino-barbarian relations received unprecedented challengs.Ethnic views,imperial views,societal and cultural awareness,and historical concepts collided to create a period of ideological transformation.Official Ming history and personal writinggs both describe the phenomenon of idealogical turmoil pushing toward climax.This article uses official Ming history to compare and research the attitudes of Kangxi and Qinglong toward the defeat of the Ming empire with those of Ming dynasty thought,providing a thorough,complete contrasting study.investigating the context of the era,contrasting differences in the historical point of view,revealing the attitude of Qing rulers towards the Ming dynasty.which were forged in order protect their own dynasty.This study also reveals the conflict and change in Chinese culture and between the two dynasties.The text is divided into six parts.An instroduction describes the topics of discussion and their meanings and research methods.Setion one provides an analysis of the official history of the Ming dynasty as compiled by Qing officials including the Siku Quan shu version that took 54 years to complete.while also describing the circum stances of the compilation of the official Ming dynasty.Section two describes the relatively large effect of the writing of this historyon citizens.Section three analyzes the impact of Kangxi and Qianlong’s opinions of Ming dynasty’s history rulers.and destruction,and explains the origin of their views of the Ming dynasty.Section four analyzes the opinions of others that lived during both dynasties.Theconclusion explorrs the differences between these two different histooies of the Ming dynasty.Further analysis is common among intellectuals during this period,and it shows the conflict of thought and ideology about Ming dynasty history and culture.
