Anthology can conserve documents, record the history and unfolds the critical view.In recent yeas become a hot topic of academic research. By standing on thecharacteristics of the anthology of Ming Poetry and basing on the literature, this paperspreads out exposition along two clue of history and poetry.First, some anthologist of Ming Poetry in the Qing Dynasty came from MingDynasty, they had two purpose by compilating Ming poetry: one was literaturestoring, the other was summarizing Ming history. Moreover, they wanted to canonizeloyalty. Most antology appeared in earlier Qing Dynasty, different from the antology ofTang, Song, Qing poetry. The anthology of Ming Poetry has strong times colour. Someof them usually keep in touch with scholar’s psychology during the transition from theMing to the Qing Dynasty, record the history by poems, either introspect thehistorical-political of Ming Dynasty, or call for loyalty by selecting poems.Second, we can also find the anthologist’s poetic view and the inheritance of Mingand Qing Dynasty poetry from the anthology. During selecting poems, anthologistevaluated Ming poem, unfolded poetic history of Ming Dynasty, seek the new poetrypath during the critical inheritance. Through combing their evaluation, we can see thatthe anthologist mostly pay attention to Qizi school, but always neglect Gong’an andJingling school. Their attitude to Qizi was first critical and then affirmative, fromwhich,we kan see the relationship between Qing poetry and Restoring Ancient Ways ofMing poetry. In the early Qing Dynasty, Lie Chao Shi Ji and Ming Shi Ping Xuan spareno effort to fustigate Qizi, they usually entanglement in such problem as copyingwithout change, using word ect, obliterate Qizi’s achievement. We can see,in thiscase, the poetry point that anthology concern was restoring ancient or changing new. Atthe same time, from Huang Ming Shi Xuan in the Late Ming to Si Jie Shi Xuan, Jiu DaJia Shi Xuan, Ming Shi Hui Xuan in the early Qing Dynasty, the anthology supportgreatly to Qizi aiming at the poetic style of Jingling at that time. In Kangxi years of Qing Dynasty, under the influence of the ethos of ZongTang, Ming Shi Zong evaluatedQizi’s poem objectively, made a difference between QianHouQizi, evaluated everymember’s poem respectively.Ming Shi Bie Cai Ji and Ming Ren Shi Chao whichappeared in YongQian stage return to the standpoint of Huang Ming Shi Xuan under therequirement of elegant legitimism. But in view of the criticism of Lie Chao Shi Ji,anthologist in this time pay more attention to distinguished–style, took Qizi’sstrongpoint instead of their shortcoming. The appraise about Qizi’s Restoring AncientWays displayed inheritance and exploration of poetics. Both Qian Qianyi and WangFuzhi found the disadvantage of copy, mr Qian corrected with new changing anddisposition, opening the Poetic Style of Song-advocacy in early Qing Dynasty; mr Wangcorrected with disposition and romantic charm on the basis of agreeing to restoreancient. Thereafter, Wang Shizhen selected Er Jia Shi Xuan and Xin An Er Bu Yi Shi,affectionated such poet as Xu Zhenqing, Gao Shusi, Cheng Jiasui, and proposed thetheory of verve to correct copying. Under the premise of canonizing elegant legitimism,Shen Deqian neutralized theory of verve and stylistic mode. Instead of entangling insuch problem as restoring ancient or changing new, ZongTang or ZongSong, WangDuan proposed theory of YaZhengQingZhen, corrected change with Qing and copy withZhen. It showed the neutralization deeper level of disposition, theory of verve andstylistic mode in Wang Duan’s poetry comment. On the other hand, in view of the shortcoming of shallow vulgarity in Gong’an andJingling’s poem, the anthologist wanted to pursue elegant legitimism and revert to thepoetry teaching. But there were slight difference in the comprehension of elegantlegitimism between different anthology. For example, Chen Zilong and Shen Deqianemphasized gentle and kind, resentment but no anger, while Wang Fuzhi emphasizedclassic elegance.
