With the development of globalization and more frequent interconnection with the outside world, China has become a hot destination for venture capital and interpretation has also enjoyed increasing popularity in the market. Based on a case study of Venture Capital and its Development in China, this report analyzes interpreting risks, namely the difficulties which the interpreter may encounter during this mock interpreting and summarizes how to control the risks. As an academic TV program, at its initial stage, Lecture Room failed in broadcasting broadly due to its unsuccessful target viewer orientation. After the transformation,it paid more attention to ordinary people and is aimed at diffusing Chinese culture and professional knowledge to the general public. Therefore its audience changed accordingly. The discussion in this report is based on the Skopos rule, a core principle of the Skopos Theory, according to which the end justifies the means and target audience is regarded as the most important factor influencing the end. Taking into consideration the purpose and the target audience of this program, the interpreter has to adjust his or her interpreting methods and deliver the messages of this lecture on venture capital clearly and briefly. This report proposes five different ways--deletion, conversion, reconstruction, fuzzy approach and supplementation, hoping to provide reference for interpreting practice concerning similar tasks in the future.
