Yuan Dynasty painter Wu Zhen was acclaimed as the semi-finals, occupies a very important position in the Yuan Dynasty painting, and far-reaching impact on future generations. He liked to paint fisherman fig, while fine calligraphy, poetry work. Drawing on the literature and data collection is concerned, I found that he wrote more than thirty "Fisherman" theme of the poem on painting. Fisherman fig and Fisherman poetry in two different art forms intertextuality, Fusion, alternate, common that not only achievements of Wu Zhen art world, but also achievements Wu Zhen innermost "Fisherman world." Show complementary poetry and painting from Wu Zhen series, "Fisherman" theme works, poetry and painting each other’s complement and reinforce each other.Wu Zhen’s composition characteristics distinguished his own unique ink and "a river" type of characteristics from Yuan Dynasty and other painters, unique in the Yuan Dynasty paintings. And Wu Zhen depicted "fisherman" is not to make a living by fishing fisherman, but a specific topic on this particular background Yuan produced. In fact, Wu Zhen’s fisherman painting is his own metaphor. This paper uses iconography study, comparative method to study the Wu Zhen’s "Fisherman" image, dig deeper inner meaning of work, Wu Zhen’s fisherman fig reveal symbolic figure. It is by Wu Zhen fisherman chart with poem on painting expresses the perception of life and into the seclusion ideology.Based on the drawing and poetry on fisherman of Wu Zhen, and the relating painting and calligraphy treatises, this study on the relationship of Wu Zhen’’s fisherman drawing and its poetry will divided into four parts. Part one, The origin of thought about this kind of creative themes. Firstly, the creation of the poetry is influenced by the combination of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. Secondly, under the impact of social, political, and cultural change in Yuan Dynasty, many scholars burdened with the humiliation of nation’s being perished had finally made the choice of seclusion, which made the thought of reclusive become popular among the whole Yuan Dynasty. One the most famous scholars was Wu Zhen, he abandoned himself to nature, and described the nature with his painting and poetry to express this mind. Part two, the style and structure characteristics of the poetry on Wu Zhen’s fisherman. The poetry has transformed from the embellishment of the painting to the main part of the painting. Part three, the artistic conception of the painting of fisherman and its poetry. Wu Zhen made a combination of the painting and the poetry, and made them extend the artistic conception of each other. The creation of the poetry played the role of voice-over and the extensity of the painting. Besides, the creation of the painting also needs the author’s passion, thought and spirit. It was the interaction of the artistic conception on both painting and poetry, that made Wu Zhen’s fisherman drawing have a profound significance. Part four, the summary of the symbolic significance of Wu Zhen’s fisherman drawing. Base on the research above, we draw a conclusion that Wu Zhen used his painting and the poetry for painting to express his enlightenment and reclusive thought. His calligraphy and painting style and ideology exert a profound influence on the painting of Ming and Qing Dynasty.
