A Comparative Study On The CCTV Traditional Opera Documentary And BBC Drama Documentary Since Twenty-first Century

As a special kind of film, documentary not only shows its excellent artistic charm, but also carries the responsibility of cultural exchange and cultural output. As its own unique culture of each country, audience with different historical and geographical background has different aesthetic psychology and aesthetic expectations that Chinese and Western documentary show different aesthetic and expressive style. Under the background of economic globalization, cultural exchanges between different countries are becoming increasingly close and frequent. The study of the differences and reasons of CCTV traditional opera documentary and BBC drama documentary is not only the needs of survival and development of Chinese drama documentary, but also the needs of enhancement of exchanges between Chinese and foreign cultural, integration of Chinese and western cultural and propagation of Chinese excellent traditional culture.This paper takes CCTV traditional opera documentary and BBC drama documentary as research object, which will be divided into five parts. The first chapter summarizes the basic situation of CCTV traditional opera documentary and BBC drama documentary, including broadcast channels, the main classification and so on. The second chapter, the third chapter and the fourth chapter compare the differences of creation concept, aesthetic style and technique of expression between CCTV traditional opera documentary and BBC drama documentary, and clarify the main differences between such documentaries that will be exemplified on the basis of relevant theories. On the basis of comparison and analysis of previous chapters, the fifth chapter Summarizes social, historical, philosophical, geographical and other factors that affect the CCTV drama documentary and BBC drama documentary.
