A Study Of Narrative Art In The Documentary About Characters In Traditional Chinese Opera

The documentary film of opera characters is a branch of documentary film.It combines the experience of opera characters with opera culture by using narrative pictures and voice,and makes the audience feel the charm of traditional opera culture and the spirit of traditional opera inheritors by storytelling and the rendering of characters’ emotions.But at present,there are many documentaries aimed at traditional opera culture,and the subject matter is seriously homogenized,usually based on historical materials,cultural performances and commentary.Therefore,how to innovate narrative techniques and structures and express novel ideas under the premise of truly recording the story behind the opera culture should become the focus of the new generation of creators.The article has six parts.The first chapter mainly differentiates and defines the concepts of "character documentary" and "narratology theory",and generally discusses the character documentary under the perspective of narratology theory.The second chapter mainly elaborates the narrative content of the character documentary from the perspective of promoting the theme of the theme and the characterization of the opera.The third chapter clarifies the narrative structure of "A Dream in Green Clothes" from the perspective of ladder and block narrative.The fourth chapter narrates the narrative strategy of the character documentary "A Dream in Green Clothes" from different narrative angles,namely,the external perspective,the internal perspective and the multiple perspective,and introduces the narrative concept of "A Dream in Green Clothes"-based on reality and highlighting the life.The fifth chapter first introduces the lens language in "A Dream in Green Clothes",analyzes the editing techniques such as close-up,long shot and montage,and then analyzes the application of commentary,music and simultaneous sound from the perspective of sound language.The sixth chapter,from the perspective of the narrative cultural value of the Chinese opera character documentary,introduces the educational value of folk culture and the praise of the character value in "A Dream in Green Clothes".This paper adopts the research methods of literature review,case analysis and integrated induction,combined with the "Dream in Green Clothes" of my graduation work,through the portraits of the recorded characters,shows the living status of the characters,explores the cultural cause of opera,and makes the audience think about the inheritance and development of opera.
