An Investigation Study Of Dans’ Traditional Cultural Customs’ History And Actuality In Hailing Island, Yangjiang City, Guangdong

Dans, also known as “Dah”、 "egg people" in the historical records, is water residents called collectively who products and lives in the southeast region of rivers in China since ancient times. Dans traditionally led to the water company, to ship for the home life, its water culture has the different cultural elements. In recent years, with the deepening of economic globalization, the social customs are suffering the unprecedented impact and erosion of external culture. Therefore, this paper mainly to Hailing island Dans’ traditional cultural customs as the research object in the Yangjiang city, analyzing mainly history and actuality of the traditional cultural customs by means of historical literature and combined with field investigation. The article try to grasp the reasons of Dans’ traditional cultural customs changes. From the perspective of cultural consciousness to analyze Dans’ traditional cultural customs’ protect and heritage. The article is divided into five chapters:The first chapter includes the topics of origin and research significance、Journals reviewed and research scope、methods and ideas; Research innovation point.The second chapter combed the evolution sequence of past dynasties’ administrative units to control Hailing island combining the collected data of four times the field investigation. It Analyses and discuss the real origin of Hailing island’s name, and Introduces the natural geography of Hailing island to easily the source of Hailing island Dans. In the aspect of social structure, it analyzes the evolution law of all previous dynasties’ social management organization of Dans, pointing out that the change of the economic relations after the founding of new China, and the construction of internal medical system and belief system in terms of social structure.The third chapter,through field research and literature review. It describes Dans’ traditional way of production and life of the clan, family, marriage system, the folk belief systems, traditional customs and habits, and salty water song from six aspects. By the contrast of the history and actuality of Hailing island Dans in the traditional cultural customs.
