In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, there are many problems in vocabulary teaching, such as large vocabulary, low repetition rate. these problems are particularly prominent in oral teaching materials. Oral teaching materials are written to improve students’ oral ability, it is difficult for the students to complete the normal communication tasks due to the vocabulary problems in the teaching materials.Lexical repetition is one of the vocabulary teaching methods,the higher repetition of new words, the better effect of students’ learning, it is conducive to the improve the oral communication ability.In order to further prove this conclusion,statistical method, comparative method, and text method were used, based on Krashen’s Input Hypothesis, Ellis’ s Input Frequency Theory and Ebbinghaus’ s Forgetting Theory, an investigation on the repetition of new words in the two textbooks Development of Chinese·Intermediate Oral ChineseⅠ,Ⅱ----the intermediate part of Development of Chinese(Second Edition), the serial oral teaching materials.The number of the new words and the level of the new words, especially the new word repetition rate,including different reproduction situations,recurrence mode in the texts and exercises.In addition,the special new words’ repetition including the zeroth repetition rate and the high repetition rate in the two textbooks were studied.Combined with Syllabus of Graded Words and Characters for Chinese Proficiency and Dictionary of Chinese common word frequency,this article analyzed if the selection of new words in teaching materials meets the requirements, and the repetition rate was reasonable.Then 30 intermediate students were selected to take two experiments,testing whether the reappearance of new words had influence on the students’ acquisition of vocabulary and the effect result.Test results showed that the method of recurrence of new words have a certain impact on students’ oral abilities.The higher repetition of new words, the better effects of students’ vocabulary learning,and the higher oral communicative ability.Therefore the method of recurrence of new words have a certain impact on students’ oral abilities.Based on this findings, teachers should pay more attention to the reappearance of the new words on vocabulary acquisition and oral communication ability in the classroom teaching,we should summarize different methods toimprove the repetition of words.In the textbook compilation,we must pay attention to the contemporaneity and the orality of the textbooks and use multiple textbooks,we need taking the repetition interval and the reproduction mode into consideration on the arrangement of the new words.At the same time,we should select words to meet the requirements of Syllabus of Graded Words and Characters for Chinese Proficiency and Dictionary of Chinese common word frequency.
