Wang Quchang Zhang Cao Calligraphy Study

Study on modern Zhangcao, Wang Quchang is an insurmountable important calligrapher.He created a austere dignified and ancient features Zhangcao style absorb the ancient, embodies the outstanding personal characteristics, known as "Qu Cao".His change of Zhangcao calligraphy, promoted the revival of Zhangcao of the Republic of China, deeply influenced the creation and development of the modern Zhangcao calligraphy. In this paper, based on Wang Quchang Zhangcao, make a deeply and concrete studied of the brushwork.The main content is divided into four parts:the formation of Wang Quchang Zhangcao brushwork,Wang Quchang Zhangcao brushwork techniques, Wang Quchang Zhangcao brushwork aesthetic analysis,Wang Quchang Zhangcao brushwork characteristics and enlightenment,Wang Quchang Zhangcao brushwork skill analysis and aesthetic analysis is the focus of this paper.The content such as the control of writing brush, the movements of brush, stipple writing, serpentine means, and the concept of Yin and Yang express all been made a deep mining in this paper. Investigate its graphic, depth analysis of its Zhangcao single stroke and font, probe into its Zhangcao brushwork characteristics; proposed Wang Quchang Zhangcao "serpentine line" concept, and highlighting its aesthetic connotation, using the chart method, inductive method, comparative method and so on,in an intuitive manner showed the unique character and charm of Wang Quchang Zhangcao brushwork.Provide a certain theoretical basis and practical guidance for the study of modern Zhangcao development,creation and practice.
