Study On The Guyi Poetry From The Southern Dynasties To Tang Dynasty

Guyi Poetry referred to those named with’guyi’, as a visible phenomenon of poetic creation during the Southern Dynasties to Tang Dynasty. The basic nature of those poems was that poets express their emotions by ancient images. Guyi Poetry were rooted in an archaic style,influenced by the separate of archaism and modernism in the Poetic circles of Qi and Liang dynasties as well,so Guyi Poetry were provided with particular value.In Tang Dynasty,which had three poetic forms as archaism,modernism and Folk rhyme, Guyi Poetry became one part of poetic creation for their specific contents and forms.Chapter 1 introduced the basic information of the presence Guyi Poetry,such as the quantity,content and artistic features. Chapter 2 discussed about the relationship between Guyi Poetry and Nigu poems in the Southern Dynasties,discriminated the influence of the separate of archaism and modernism in the Poetic circles of Qi and Liang Dynasties, pointed out that different from the common fashion in describing colours and beauties, Guyi Poetry focused on expressing emotions, which composed their value on the poetic circles.According to the relationship with folk rhyme and ancient poet, chapter3 and chapter4 classified Guyi Poetry of Tang Dynasty into Folk rhyme and Lyrics. Chapter 3 pointed out that Guyi Poetry of Tang Dynasty succeeded the tradition of Folk rhyme,which enriched the expressional function. Chapter 4 thought that Guyi Poetry of Lyrics carried forward the spirits in the poet of Han and Wei Dynasties, expressed the depression about political ideal with reposing skill and archaic quality,which was a significant achievement in the work of ancient poet in Tang Dynasty. It enriched the Guyi Poetry of Southern Dynasties as well. The epilogue summarized the basic viewpoint of this article and proposed some ideas for next research about Guyi poetry.
