The popularity of mass sports activities grows naturally with the vigorous development of professional sports in our country; therefore, people increasingly focus on sports events and sports professionals. This excerpt is translated under the guidance of Skopos Theory and aims at exploring specific translation strategies during the translation of biographic texts. Guided by three principles of Skopos Theory-- Skopos Rule, Coherence Rule and Fidelity Rule, the author copes with jargon, slang and idioms and title translation and analyses the text translation by the methods of free translation, conversion, amplification, reduction and first-person perspective and reads parallel texts and corresponding English news about volleyball matches from the official website of the FIVB. By analyzing from multiple perspectives on vocabulary, jargon, sentences and passages, the translation report of autobiographic texts can achieve the goal of cultural communication. In this report, the translator reviews the translation process in four parts: the introduction of the translation task, the description of the translation process, case analysis and conclusion. The first part introduces the translation background, the content, the study of the research and the meaning of source text. The second part records the analysis, the preparation, and the follow-up working of translation; based on the theoretical preparation, it also discusses the necessity of Skopos Theory in autobiographic text translation. As the vital part, the third one analyzes translation difficulties and the case guided by Skopos theory, and meanwhile presents detailed translation measures. The last chapter concludes the translation deficiencies and enlightenment in this practice. This translation report focuses on the Chinese-English translation methods of autobiographic texts. The finding by analysis is that an important prerequisite of a translation report lies in correctly comprehending the language features and conversational styles of biographical narrators. At the same time, translations of autobiographies of sports professionals also require translators to grasp precise apprehension of rules and regulations of corresponding sports events and translations of sports terms also need vast stores of professional and relevant foreign language knowledge.
