Emotional adjustment is an important index to measure the school adjustment and mental health status of adolescents, which is significant for the healthy growth of young people. At present, the growing environment of the left-behind experienced adolescents has been greatly improved with the extensive attention of the country and the society. However, due to the negative impact of the left-behind experience, their unhealthy emotional adjustment and the following psychological, behavioral and other aspects of the problems have not been resolved. Family and classmates are the important support source for the growth and development of young people, family support and classmate support have a great impact on adolescents’ mental health and behavior adjustment. This study aimed at the characteristics of family support, classmate support and emotional adjustment of the left-behind experienced high school students, and the effects from family and classmate support on emotional adjustment, and designed a intervention program which is not only helpful for enhancing students’ family support and classmate support level in a real situation, but also conducive to improve their emotional adjustment.In this study, researcher selected emotional engagement, self-esteem, depression, anxiety and aloneness as the measurement indicators of emotional adjustment. The first research investigated the characteristics of family support, classmate support, and emotional adjustment in two grades and 260 senior high school students and the effects of family support and classmate support on emotional adjustment. It was found that girl students’classmate emotional support was significantly higher than that of boys, and the level of self-esteem was significantly lower than that of boys; the level of self-esteem of Grade Two was significantly lower than that of Grade one, and the depression and aloneness were significantly higher than those of Grade One; the boy students’ family support of Grade One is observably higher than that of boy students from Grade Two; family support and classmate emotional support have significant predictive effect on emotional engagement, self-esteem, depression, anxiety and aloneness, classmate academic support has a significant predictive effect on emotional engagement and depression.As a result of family and classmate support has important influence to the left-behind experienced high school students, in the second study, researcher designed family support and classmate support intervention project and intervened with 30 high school students with left-behind experience. The results showed that the intervention project of family support and classmate support has achieved remarkable results, family support and classmate academic support of high school students with left-behind experience have been greatly enhanced, and the depression level has observably went down.Conclusions of the Research:(1)With the growth of grade, the left-behind experienced high school students’ self-esteem level has decreased, the depression and aloneness have increased; boys’ family support has decreased as grade increased.(2) Family support and classmate support have important influence on the emotional adjustment of high school students with left-behind experience.(3) The intervention project by improving family and classmate support to improve the emotional engagement of high school students with left-behind experience is feasible, which is the best way to reduce the students’ depression level in a short time.
