| The relationship between the literature and history, has been a popular topic in different time periods. Different people have different views of their own seeing. In the meanwhile, some hold the opinion of literature and history are family,on the contrary some believe that they are separately. However, no matter what kind of argument are there, we are unable to deny the close relationship between literature and history. This is mainly manifested in the way the content of literary works can be suitably used as the material of historical research, provide supplement traditional historical data; meanwhile, with various historiographical literature strokes, but also enhance the readability of the results of historical research; second, to the incorporation of historical facts in literature, will also enhance the depth and breadth.Li Jieren’s "River Trilogy" is in a particular historical period, in a specific historical background and historical facts as the basis and pose into which contains a wealth of information about the true history. This paper is based on it, using the method of proving by history and literature themselves each other due to reappear the ture faces about Chengdu society during 1894--1911(late qing dynasty).This paper is divided into three chapters, chapter one discuss in Li Jieren ’s "River Trilogy" epic nature. In the Past, many cultural and historical scholars such as Liang Qichao, Chen Yinke, Qian Zhongshu, when they mentioned the relationship between history and literature holding this view that the literary works as historical research information, in order to emphasize the history of the text permits or History, Literature; Similarly, there are many scholars believe that Li Jieren’s "River trilogy " chronicles the many historical information about the late Qing Dynasty in Chengdu.It has a strong historic. The chapter two deals with the Social and political situation changes and local reactions. Later on, due to poor information dissemination, Chengdu was left far away from the central dynasty government, when the upper class of political changed, Chengdu is total exhibit hysteresis side, the public’s reaction is particularly dull.This is reflecting the changes between the central and the invariability among the local are not the same synchronized surface.
