Social network plays an important role in people’s social life, which is not only a new medium for interpersonal communication, but also a new platform for self-presentation. As representatives of the advanced popular culture, undergraduates are the active power of social network. Besides, their status and strategies presented in social network reflect their learning and living conditions. Undergraduates are experiencing a special developing period, in which they are in urgent need of their physical, mental and learning comprehensive mature. In such a critical stage, colleges and families are responsible for offering fully understand and correctly guide to undergraduates. In consequence, concentrating on the self-presentation strategies of undergraduates is undoubtedly an advantages way to understand their physical and mental development, which can also provide them further management and guidance. In the process of exploring the influencing factors and mechanism of self-presentation strategies in the social network, we have found that the level of self-acceptance is an important inner indicator reflecting mental health. Moreover, father’s rearing style, as another factor, has a profound impact on children’s physical and mental development, it is the root of children’s personality construction and behaviors. On the basis of summarizing the previous studies, this thesis analyzed the correlation and mechanism of father’s rearing style, self-acceptance and self-presentation strategies in social network among undergraduates.The research adopted EMBU(Father’s Rearing Style Questionnaire), Self-acceptance Questionnaire and Social Network Self-presentation Strategy Scale(CN) to investigate 769 undergraduates from three universities in Hebei Province. SPSS18.0 was used to analyze and process the figures. The effects of some demographic variables on the father’s rearing style, self-acceptance and self-presentation strategies in social network were explored in this article. Furthermore, the researcher analyzed the relationship among the three factors, and refutes the traditional concepts such as "son preference" according to the results. The findings are as follows:1. Most of the undergraduates are able to feel the emotion, warmth and understandings from their fathers. Factors like gender, grade, family background and one-child family have a significant difference on father’s rearing styles.2.Undergraduates achieve a well self-acceptance level. There are significant differences in gender, grade, family background and one-child family.3.Undergraduates adopt two different strategies in social network, referring Positive self-presentation and True self-presentation. True self-presentation strategy is adopted more frequently. Grade and family background have a significant difference on self-presentation strategies, but there is no significant difference in gender and one-child family.4.There is a strong correlation among father’s rearing style, self-acceptance and self-presentation strategies in social network.5.Self-presentation strategies in social network can be predicted by father’s rearing style and self-acceptance.6.Self-acceptance plays a mediating role between father’s rearing style and self-presentation strategies in social network.
