In the field of Second Language Teaching and Learning,Needs Analysis is a process which determines ‘what to teach’ and ‘how to teach’,and it is the indispensable step of instructional design and also plays an important role in the Chinese Teaching. The research of Needs Analysis in the field of Teaching Chinese as Second Language(TCSL) is still in its infancy, especially the study about Korean learners.Therefore,this paper try to find out the learning needs of Korean Learners of Chinese in Canton.This paper conducts an empirical probe into the field of needs analysis for Korean learners of Chinese through a questionnaire and interviews. There are 60 students of this investigation which from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies,South China University of technology and Sun yat-sen University(Zhuhai).This research Combines the theory of Needs Analysis and my teaching practices.Through the research,i found that what they needs in chinese class depend on their purpose of learning Chinese.Their learning style influences the needs of teaching method.Because of the student’s personal factors and the lack of Chinese teaching,locale fails to helping them learning Chinese.At the end of this paper, i make three recommendations about‘teaching content’, ‘teaching methods’ and ‘the need for teachers, teaching institutions’.
