| This research analysis and summarizes the syntax characteristics of Chinese in the the popular elementary Chinese learning textbooks which are the Boya Chinese Elementary and A Comprehensive Course in Elementary Chinese. This thesis includes the comparative research of the quantity, selection, splitting, sorting, interpretation and the repetition rate of the specific grammar items in these two textbooks.First, Comparison to the Boya Chinese Elementary,the textbooks A Comprehensive Course in Elementary Chinese has a moderate quantity and a more scientific arrangement of grammar items in each lesson that makes it be in line with the the needs of the learners and the standard of Small capacity;These two textbooks have their own characteristics and merits in grammar selection; For the division of the grammar items, the knowledge points in the textbooks A Comprehensive Course in Elementary Chinese are more comprehensive and detailed which basically covered the required content of the teaching syllabus.Second, by comparing and analyzing the paragraphs in these two textbooks, the A Comprehensive Course in Elementary Chinese is more suited to the teaching syllabus in grammar sorting which is from easy to difficult and from shallow to deep; Although there exist many differences on interpretation methods in these two textbooks, they all have a overall consideration on the needs of learners. Meanwhile they all have the Chinese-English interpretation which makes students understand easily.Thirdly, we found that students can get a higher correct rate in grammar learning with a higher frequency in the repetition rate of the specific grammar items. Comparison to the Boya Chinese Elementary, the textbooks A Comprehensive Course in Chinese has a more appropriate frequency. |
