There are many students coming from Russia and Central Asia in Xinjiang University at present. If regarding these students as a group for a same language background,studying the errors they made in Chinese language learning,classifying these errors,looking for the characteristics and regulars in each parts of speech and different learning stages can help us to make better teaching strategies.So as to improve the group’s mastering level of content words.In this paper,from the perspective of semantics and grammar,the author uses the methods of corpus statistics,comparative analysis and many other ways to analyze 298 compositions of students from Xinjiang University,which including the intermediated level pieces for 148,and the advanced level ones for 150.The author compiled 229 content word errors from them,which including 193 cases for the intermediated level and 36 cases for the advanced level. So can we classify and describe these errors scientifically and in system,point out the causes and influenced factors of the errors,put forward specific suggestions on the teaching.There are analysis of these content word errors in system based on the 298 compositions,clear perspective,analysis to typical content word errors in each parts of speech in detail,complete comparison between the intermediated level and the advanced level in this paper.So the teaching strategies would be more effective.
