Teenagers are in a special stage of adolescence, on the one hand, their self conscious is developing rapidly, and they are easy to full in contradiction in the process of development, a lot of children in this age group have problem behaviors.On the other hand, teenagers are extremely sensitive to view about themselves from others, reflected self-appraisals, which means how I think what do you think of me, it can be to predict effects on behavior.We try to explore the question that the characteristics of teenagers’ reflected self appraisal through experimental method. Our purpose is finding a way that transforming the appraisals from others to reduce teenagers’ problem behaviors. Since this area of study’s output is little in China, this innovative study come into being practical value.This research mainly use investigation and experiment, 198 teenagers selected from one college and one vocational school were research object, symbolic interactionism is study’s theoretical basis, we discuss a issue that the difference between problem behaviors teenagers’ accurate rate of memory task and general teenagers’, and the memory task is to remember some personality adjectives come from important person’s positive or negative appraisals. The conclusion is follows:(1) Problem behaviors are prevalent in the teenage, bad learning adaptability,nervousness and test anxiety happen always, aggressive behavior, misconduct, and withdrawal behavior happen occasionally. There are significant sex and family structure related differences in problem behaviors.(2) Teenagers put a high value on parents and friends, and it can be listed from high to low: father and mother, crony, teacher, classmate. Teenagers’ intimacy with five types person can be listed from high to low: crony, mother, father, teacher,classmate.(3) Reflected self appraisals of teenagers who with problem behaviors is significantly lower than general youths. Two groups of teenagers’ reflected self-assessment from friend and classmate is significantly higher than parents and teacher, and there was significant differences in reflected self-assessment for boys and girls.(4) There is a moderate correlation between reflected self-assessment andproblem behaviors of teenagers, and reflection self-assessment could negatively forecast teenagers’ problem behaviors.(5) Memory effect on two group teenagers’ reflected self-assessment from friend’s positive assessment and teacher’s negative assessment was found, and that,memory effect on general teenagers’ reflected self-assessment from classmate’s,teacher’s positive assessment and mother’s negative assessment was found. There is significant difference of correct rate of memory in sex, girls had better results than boys.Therefore, we should adopt a effective strategies of teaching for teenagers who with problem behaviors, there are some useful steps can be take to solve the problem,include encourage, consideration of their feelings, communicate often and so on. Only to focus the efforts of family and school, the development of physical and mental health of teenagers can be ensured.
