Between the numerous studies about the parents’ marital conflict and adolescent problem behaviors,the researchers found,the higher the level of parents’ marital conflict is,the more serious the adaptation problems of the youth are.Recently,researchers begin to pay close attention to the mechanism of how the marital conflicts influence the adolescents’ problem behavior,teenagers’ the cognitive appraisal ofmarital conflict is seen as an important variable in the mechanism of the relationship between marital conflicts and adolescents problem behavior.The current study aim to investigate the relationship between marital conflict and adolescents problem behaviors,and the mediating effect of youth’s cognitive appraisal between the relationship.Taking 120 teenagers(11-18)who were chose from JH Internet Addiction center and JX Internet Addiction school as the research objects,the adolescent perceived conflicts,cognitive appraisal,problem behaviors were investigated,mainly discusses how the parents’ conflicts influence the adolescent problem behaviors,and intermediary role of cognitive appraisal in the relationship.This article adopts the method of questionnaire survey,questionnaire including parents’ conflicts perception scale(CPIC),adolescent self rating scale(YSR)and demographic scale,using the convenience sampling and cluster sampling method,the use of SPSS and LISREL statistic software for statistical data analysis,include descriptive statistics,T test,variance analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis,path analysis and structural equation.Research conclusion as follows:(1)Adolescent perceived marital conflict characteristics does not exist gender and age differences,but there are significant differences in different family structure:intact families conflicts score is higher than that of divorced families.(2)Adolescent problem behavior does not exist differences in sex and family structure,but there were significant differences in different age groups.(3)There are significant age and gender differences in cognitive appraisal of teenagers(4)Perceived parental conflicts,cognitive assessment are significantly associated with each factor of adolescent problem behaviors.The higher level of perceived parental conflict is,the more negative cognition are,the more serious juvenile behavior problems are.(5)Cognitive appraisal(threat recognition,self-attribution)acts as completely intermediary role between perceived parental conflicts and adolescents internalizing problem behaviors;the mediating effect of cognitive appraisal between the perceived parental conflicts and teenagers externalizing problem behaviors was not significant.
