The Relationship Between Optimism And Entrepreneuria Intention

Entrepreneurial intention is a subjective attitude and tendency for potential entrepreneurs to decide whether to engage in entrepreneurial activities, and it is the best predictive indicators of entrepreneurial behavior. The study of entrepreneurial intention research has a social significance in promoting college students’ self-employment and providing more jobs for the society.This paper investigate the current situation of college students’ entrepreneurial intention, the degree of failure fear and the differences in failure fear and analysed the relationship among optimism, failure fear and entrepreneurial intention using the questionnaire survey and statistical methods of correlation analysis,regression analysis.It aims to provide a basis for improving the entrepreneurial intention of college students and advice in elevating the college students’ optimism.The empirical research conclusion is as follows:(1) Reliability and validity of Failure Fear Scale is better which meets the requirements of psychological measurement.(2) The demographic variable analysis results of failure fear shows that: there was no significant difference in profession, whether only one child or not, class leader, entrepreneurship experience and education background.(3) The college students of different gender exist significant differences in the social value reduce dimension of failure fear,while there are no significant differences in total scale and other four dimensions; College students of different native place exist significant differences in self-esteem reduce fear dimension of failure fear, but there are no differences in total scale and other dimensions; there are great differences in students from different grades in terms of overall failure fear and each dimension,comparing results is there is significant differences among Senior,junior,sophomore and freshman.(4) Optimism has significant negative prediction function on the failure fear, but significant positive prediction function on entrepreneurial intention.Failure fear has significant negative prediction function to the entrepreneurial intention.Failure fear plays a partial intermediary role between optimism and entrepreneurial intention.
