With the progress and development of The Times, society is not just a healthy body to the requirement of talent quality, professional techniques, more for mental stability and health. As subjective experience and affected by multiple factors such as society, culture and environment of self-esteem and self-awareness is one of the important indicators to measure children’s mental health. Because the yushu prefecture is located in the qinghai-tibet plateau, Tibetan populated area, objectively caused the yushu prefecture the differences of students learning, life, by studying the research yushu prefecture of the status quo and characteristics of primary school children’s self esteem and self consciousness, is good for providing scientific and valuable for parents and schools students psychological data, thus targeted to promote mental health education work, make the same culture background, different life environment learning of primary school children can healthy growth. In view of this, this study selected yushu prefecture bayi orphan school and yushu prefecture first completely in 3 to 6 grade students as the research object. Quantitative take questionnaire investigation to the Piers- Harris children’s self-consciousness scale and Rosenberg self-esteem scale as the research tool, to discuss and analyze the yushu prefecture 3-6 grade elementary school children’s whole self consciousness and self consciousness and the relationship between self-esteem, analysis and comparison in yushu orphans and the condition of normal children’s sense of self and self-esteem, and from the family and school level put forward the effective method to enhance the level of self-awareness and self-esteem.Conclusions of the study are as follows:(1) Two primary school students in self consciousness of each subscale, there are significant differences in total score.(2)Men and women and children’s self consciousness subscales were significantly in gender, no significant difference in the total score of self consciousness. Self consciousness of each subscale scores, there was no significant difference in whether or not only child. Intelligence and school, gregarious, happiness and satisfy the three subscales, there is significant difference in grade.(3)Self-esteem are significantly different in different schools, different grades, in gender and whether there are not significant differences between only child.(4) Sense of self and self-esteem was significantly related to...
