With the acceleration of globalization, foreign friends become paying more and more attention to big and small cities, and even small counties in China. More and more foreign friends begin to concern about the Transportation Bureau of Huachi County. In order to attract more foreign friends and keep up with the pace of globalization, the Transportation Bureau of Huachi County starts to gradually get internationalized.Therefore, it is imperative to translate the documents on the Bureau’s website.This document is published and commissioned by the Transportation Bureau of Huachi County, and it is named as the Revitalization Plan of ShaanGanNing Old Revolutionary Base Areas, the author is responsible for the Huachi county transportation plan construction part from 2012 to 2020. There are 11479 Chinese characters in total; the time limit is two months. It is finished by the author alone. This translation task is guided by Newmark’s Theory of Text Typology and Hans Vermeer’s Skopos Theory. The main translation strategies are semantic translation and communicative translation proposed by Newmark, and to achieve the requirements of the commissioning party: accuracy and communicative goalsThis report includes all the procedures of the translation, including pre-translation, during translation,and post-translation, etc., and proposed many examples and analysis to them. In the last part, the author summarizes and rethinks on the translation, and lists some of the translation problems and corresponding solutions to them. And also presents the author’s influence from the translation, hoping that this report will provide some referential value to the translation of government documents.
