| The representatives of classical music are Mozart and Beethoven, who created immortal music works of various genres and forms, and occupied very important creative status and had great influence in the development history of western music. As the main genre and form of the two composers’ creations, piano sonata played an important and decisive role in the field of piano art and in the development process of sonata form, and Beethoven developed it to the peak. However, Mozart and Beethoven also learned from each other in the creation, and there were inherent and deep relations of inheritance and innovation between their works. This paper selects two pieces of Mozart’s Piano Sonata in C Minor(K457) and Beethoven’s Piano Sonata in C Minor(OP10nr1) almost in the same period, and studies similarities and differences between the two pieces from the aspects of music ontology, performance techniques and teaching significance. This paper consists of four chapters: the first chapter briefly introduces the life and music creation of Mozart and Beethoven. The second chapter is the contrastive analysis of Mozart’s K457 and Beethoven’s OP10nr1 in music, and introduces the differences between them two. The third chapter presents the analysis and comparison of Mozart’s K457 and Beethoven’s OP10nr1 in performance, so as to better grasp the performance style of the two pieces. The fourth chapter elaborates the significance of analysis and comparison of Mozart and Beethoven’s piano sonatas in teaching.Through the analysis and comparison of the above aspects, the interrelation and difference between the two composers’ works are discussed, so as to improve our understanding of the sonata genre in that period, and better grasp the music style in the future piano performance. |
