This thesis attempts to use the third movement of Beethoven’s Sonata in E flat major(Op81a)as a target, and select the acoustic versions of famous piano virtuosos Claudio Arrau,Emile Gilles,Alfred Brendel and Van Cliburn, using the existing ’music visualisation’ data analysis platform. The vmus acoustic software was used to extract visual data from each version in terms of rhythm and intensity, tempo and timbre, and to generate scientific coordinates.Through this data and the comparison of the actual acoustic versions,it is possible to explore the individual stylistic and technical characteristics of the performers,to understand the artistic characteristics and stylistic connotations of the work,to explore the aesthetic tendencies and tonal approaches of the performers, and to explore the differences between the performances of the music in different humanistic contexts,in order to summarise the universals and particularities of the performers and to provide some help and reference for the learners in their performance practice. The aim is to draw out the generalities and particularities of the performers,so that they can provide some help and reference for the learners’ performance practice. |
