“Dionysian Spirit” In The Painting Of Bacon

This paper is derived from painting creation for painting in the process of how to carry the "Dionysian Spirit" this thinking and feeling, in this process, because of Bacon’s works have "Dionysian Spirit", which touched and inspired. Here, I do some preliminary study in Bacon’s painting "Dionysian Spirit", and hope that through this research more deeply explore my painting how to load "Dionysian Spirit". Therefore,this research mainly divided into four parts.The first part discusses Nietzsche’s philosophy of some important concepts, also which I marked in the "Dionysian Spirit". Because of the philosophy of Nietzsche’s most important ideas are derived from the "dionysian spirit", so I use "Dionysian Spirit" instead. This part mainly clarify concepts, theory foreshadowing for the later research of Bacon.The second part discusses the impact on the Bacon from Nietzsche’s "Dionysian Spirit" This part is from Bacon’s life experience, life and artistic thought some other outside factors to analysis the idea of the thoughts of the Bacon and Nietzsche fit and contact.The third part discusses "Dionysian Spirit" in the painting of Bacon. This is the key part of the study, mainly from two aspects of Bacon’s painting image(like a dismembered body stired together) and painting theme(mainly for the "screaming mouth" series) to interpret the fit and contact of painting and the "Dionysian Spirit"The fourth part discusses "Dionysian Spirit" in my creation. This part combining with my own creation discusses my painting how to combine with "Dionysian Spirit".
