The ceramic statuses of Ming dynasty take great position in the ceramic history. Kwan-yin,the most important part of the statuses, hasn’t been induced. In the theory,103 Kuan-yin samples is induced to show its features and traits in different stages. The result supports the view of the process of folk sights and multi-religious.First of all, all factors of Kwan-yin status have been induced such as hair, face, dress and postures. According to the analysis, the most traditional and delicate one was in the middle of Ming dynasty, which showed a kind of classic favor. Later, more styles of Kwan-yin posture were born and the folk favor was prevailed. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasty, curled hair was shown, which meant the culture combination between east and west.In the second part, the factors of the background are taken into account. There are thirteen kinds of adornments and six kinds of main scenes, which are cliff, sea, cloud, lotus, animal and rush cushion. All scenes except rush cushion are from the Buddhist Scriptures. The born of rush cushion was a kind of combination of the Confucianists and the Chan sect. Adornments in the middle of Ming dynasty were in simple style and most of them are in the hand of the status. Later, the styles of adornments were prosperous and many new folk images were born such as boys and babies. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasty, the factors belonged to Taoism and Christianity showed the combination of religions.In the third part, the art pieces are researched as a whole. In the middle period, the works were well carved and the status of Kuan-yin was the key point in the whole art piece. Later, the backgrounds and adornments were prosperous and more attention was paid to the scenes. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasty, an atmosphere of dramatic performance was outstanding, but the work was less elegant than the early period. Every works here were influenced by the traits of stages, and the works had different features even from one worker. He chaozong was widely known during all workers for its elegant status. His work still showed some the folk images. These images showed the traits of late Ming and early Qing, which meant the period of He chaozong have to be rethought.The subject of Kwan--yin status were from traditional images except the images with babies. The features of Tibetan Buddhism were dying away and the images of the chan Sect was prosperous. Many statuses were the same postures with different backgrounds and their thesis could not be confirmed.In short, the ceramic Kwan-yin statuses in Ming dynasty were influenced by the culture of Confucian, folk stories and western styles, which showed multi-performances. The innovation of technique gave the status outstanding qualities, which were widely spread in the world.
