Research On Aesthetic Features Of Yang Liping’s National Ballet

Dance has a long history in China, which is closely linked with people’s working life and can express people’s inner feelings more specific and vivid. With continuous development of the society, the dance culture of our country has been in inheritance, innovation and improvement. Ballet is a new independent art rose from the 1930s, the main expression means of which is dance and combined with music, art, literature, theater and other art forms. It is constituted of a kind of stage performing arts with characters and storyline. With the birth of ballet, some innovations continue to gush. They create a lot of good ballet works and lead the development of ballet, especially Chinese national ballet, which not only shows the essence of each nation’s culture, but also highlights the Chinese national ballet uniqueness.Yang Liping, a Chinese dance artist, vice chairman of China Dancers Association, the national first level actor. In Yang’s dance artistic career, the performance and innovations of dance and national ballet have great influence in our country, but the national ballet is more prominent. She put the original ecology works to the stage, which make national ballet get a breakthrough, get creative performance with the creation of the national ballet, promote the development of ballet and lead the advancement of Chinese dance career. Yang has become a shining pearl in Chinese dance community.In this paper, we had a study on the aesthetic features of national ballet by dance artist Yang Liping, which was discussed from Yang’s artistic creative career, the overview of Chinese national ballet, research, aesthetic features and comparison with Yang Liping’s national ballet and other national art works, respectively.In the introduction part, we introduced the background, the research purpose and the research status. By discussing Yang’s creative arts career and analyzing the representative works, aesthetic characteristics of Yang works are excavated.Chapter one discussed the creative career of Yang Liping. In 1958, Yang was born in an ordinary Bai nationality peasant family. She was selected to the Xishuangbanna Autonomous Prefecture ensemble and soon became a leader there in 1971. In 1980, Yang was transferred to the Central Nationalities Ensemble, and then she became famous by self-composed and self-directed dance work "Effective of sparrow" when participating in the Second National Dance Competition. Yang started her ballet creation since coming back to Yunnan 2002, and scheduled several familiar works, such as "Dynamic Yunnan", "Zang Mysteryd", "Yunnan’s Sound", "Peacock" and the new "Dynamic Yunnan".Chapter two gave the overview of Chinese national ballet, which included three parts, namely the definition of national ballet and present situation of the development of Chinese national ballet, the problems encountered and the development trend.Chapter three studied on national ballet of Yang Liping. The national ballet works of Yang reflected the unique idea from the creative background, the actors and the content. Her works were organically combined the national culture and religious culture to study on the culture connotation, with which illustrating the artistic value and society influence of national ballet and reflecting the characteristics of creative works during her creative period.Chapter four explained the aesthetic features of Yang Liping’s national ballet. This paper focused on the style characteristics of the national ballet from the national, regional and ritual side, extended a full range of analysis of art characteristics expressed by dance language and dance emotion and aesthetic characteristics extended by music, costumes, dance in national ballet, and reflected Yang Liping’s aesthetic characteristics on national ballet.Chapter five described the unique of Yang’s national ballet according to comparing Yang’s work with other ethnic artworks from two aspects, specificity and nature.
