Guangxi’s economy and culture have developed with leaps and bounds in Han dynasty. The archaeological remains of Han dynasty, which found in Guangxi riverside and littoral area, provides a wealth of material culture information for us to study the politics, economy, culture of these regions in Han, as well as the condition of international exchange at that time. This paper intends to use the limited historical records combined with the increasingly archaeological remains to carry out an archaeological observation on local social and economic development of Guangxi’s riverside and littoral area in the Han Dynasty as well as the relationship between these regions and the Central Plains, and the Maritime Silk Road. By using the concept of "Economic belt", this paper also try to restore the social economic development of Guangxi’s riverside and littoral area systematically and have a discussion on the formation of an Economic belt of Guangxi’s riverside and littoral area in Han Dynasty and how the Economic belt play a role in the Maritime Silk Road. This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction, mainly elaborated the selected topic reason and significance of this paper, review the research on the social and economic development of Guangxi area and the study of Maritime Silk Road starting from Hepu in Han Dynasty. Make a description on the related problems discussed in this paper including the space-time range, the natural geographical environment in Guangxi and some definitions.The second part: the findings of archaeological remains of Han Dynasty in Guangxi’s riverside and littoral area are briefly introduced;The third part: Analyze the development of agriculture, handicraft industry and commercial of Guangxi’s riverside and littoral area in Han Dynasty. The agriculture economy of Guangxi’s riverside and littoral area have developed faster than before due to use of iron tools and cattle farming technology especially some areas such as Hepu, Guigang, Wuzhou and Xing’an; There are obvious geographical characteristics in a wide variety of industrial development in Guangxi’s riverside and littoral area, its production center is located near the origin of raw materials, and more for the private property; The prosperity of trade and development in the city has accelerated the development of social economy, and promote economic and cultural exchanges between Guangxi’s riverside and littoral area and the Central Plains to the closely in Han Dynasty;The forth part: On the basis of third part, combine with historical records and discusses the formation of Economic belt of Guangxi’s riversides and littoral area in Han Dynasty. And I think that it formed by the natural and geographical conditions and political factors, the maritime Silk Road opened up and the economic and cultural exchanges with the Central Plains and other places.The fifth part: Introduction the background of the Maritime Silk Road’s opened up and analyze the Economic and cultural exchanges between Guangxi Guangxi’s riversides and the littoral area and the foreign countries through the Maritime Silk Road, by listing the exotic style relics unearthed in Guangxi’s riversides and the littoral area and Chinese cultural relics unearthed in Southeast area along the Maritime Silk Road, investigating the role of Guangxi’s riversides and the littoral area in the Maritime Silk RoadThe sixth part: Conclusion, summarizes the full text.
