Piano Suites And Sonatas Of Different Period-The Graduation Design Of Master Degree

This graduation design mainly includes the concert program’s introduction, background research and analysis. The purpose is to provide theoretical supports to the players in order to deepen the understanding of the concert repertoire, gaining an insight into the artistic means, musical style and mastering the accurate interpretation of these repertoires.The choice of repertoire is selected from different periods, including Bach’s suite from the baroque period, Beethoven Sonata from classical period, China composer Huang Huwei’s suite, Debussy’s suite from impressionism and Kabalevsky’s Sonata from the modern period. The aim is to exhibit features and elements of music from different period through piano.The essay captured the background knowledge through musical literature, biography of the composer, supplemented with basic musical form analysis. Merging with own practical experience, it undergoes systematical and theoretical changes evolving as a thesis form serving as a reference for the others.
