A Multi-dimensional Analysis Of Huang Huwei's Music Creation

As a representative composer of "national music style",Huang Huwei has been working hard for more than 60 years on the road of music since he graduated in 1954,and has made outstanding contributions in the field of music creation and music theory research.His representative works,such as the painting of Bashu and the sunshine shining on Tianshan,are recorded in various historical books and widely spread;his music theory works,such as the method of transposition and the solutions to the exercises of harmony and acoustics course,are well received by all walks of life,and play an important role in the field of harmony and acoustics as teaching materials.No matter as a composer or a music theorist,the continuous improvement,rigorous and simple creative spirit and tireless learning enthusiasm have set an example for the younger generation.The composer’s aesthetic orientation is influenced by the times and external objective things,whether it is the time,region,society or some important people,it will have a profound impact on it.Huang Huwei’s music creation has spanned more than half a century,from the 1950 s to the 21 st century.The music works of different periods have distinctive features of the times and unique personal style.The nationalized music language and the characteristics of Chinese and Western works are closely related to the times.Huang Huwei’s music works contain his unique romantic temperament,rich in poetry,with high artistic and aesthetic interest.With the absorption and learning of the national spirit and diversified music culture in different regions,the love for the motherland and hometown is perfectly presented through the works.His music is based on the rich experience of people’s life and personal life,combined with the artistic creation of lyric by scenery,the organic combination of "sound" and "painting" endows his works with strong artistic vitality.This study is divided into four parts.The first chapter analyzes and discusses the background of the times from the perspective of history,and combs the relevance between the composer and the times;the second chapter analyzes his music works from the perspective of morphology and aesthetics,and precipitates its main characteristics;the third chapter expounds the research field of his music theory;the fourth chapter discusses the era characteristics and value of Huang Huwei’s music creation.In this paper,through multi-dimensional analysis,and taking some works as examples,combined with the characteristics of the times to interpret its music creation and music theory research.
