Dafang dialect is a part of the north Guizhou dialect what belongs to the southwest mandarin, this paper take the aspectual system of Dafang dialect as the object of study. The oral language of Dafang dialect is the basal corpus of this paper, and on the basis of the oral language, we can summarize the aspectual system of Dafang dialect, then explain clearly for each kind of characteristic and expression that every aspect or mood had. According to the comparison between Dafang dialect and mandarin, we can get the difference and give explanations.The whole paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter one:Introduction. Brief introduction of Dafang County, the situation of human geography, history, the research value and methods and the corpus source of this paper, and explain the style of the article.Chapter two:Review on the research of the aspectual system. To summarize and classify the aspectual system research findings so far, introducing the general situation of aspectual system that Guizhou dialect and Dafang dialect had. Listing the Dafang dialect’s initial consonant system and compound vowel system and tone system.Chapter three:Dafang dialect’s aspectual system. The aspectual system of Dafang dialect is divided into seven aspects and six moods. The seven aspects including inchoate aspect, continual aspect, durative aspect, progressive aspect, perfective aspect, experiential aspect and transitory aspect The six moods including imminent mood, accomplished mood, frequentative mood, tentative mood, possible mood and resulting mood. To analyse the characteristics of each aspects and moods. Find and explain the difference between Dafang dialect and mandarin.Chapter four:Summary. To summarize the main content of this paper,and point out problems that still existing in this paper, then think about the research direction in the future.
