The Reach Of The Communication Of Archaistic Music In The Modern Media Environment

The rapid development of economy and society contributes to the emergence and deepening of cultural globalization. Under the impact of a variety of foreign pop culture, Chinese classical culture gradually declined, with the trail hard to find.Meanwhile, with the boom of network information technology, new digital art which relies on media technology sprouts. To survive in the modern media environment, various forms of traditional culture have tried to be integrated with the new digital art. Chinese classical culture is looking for new ways of expression in the new media environment. Archaistic music is one of them. It combines with ancient Chinese literature, music and network technology, trying to spread classical Chinese culture in the modern media environment.This study attempts to demonstrate whether archaistic music could be a representation of classical culture. With it as the starting point, we weigh the effect of the spread of Chinese classical culture through the analyzing the spread mode and result of archaistic music.This paper combines qualitative research and quantitative research method, using text analysis, participant observation, semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire survey for research.The first chapter sets out the research background and other related information, and a detailed presentation of the development process of archaistic music. The second chapter demonstrates that archaistic music could be regarded as a representation of the classical Chinese culture in the modern media environment, through analyzing the lyrics and melody of archaic music. In the third chapter, through the study of archaistic music production and dissemination process, we analyze the emergence mode and propagation path of classical music in the modern media environment. Furthermore, in the fourth chapter we analyze the effect of archaistic music at the cognitive level, the level of attitude and behavior, with a brief analysis of the characteristics of archaistic music creators and the audience. Through the analysis and argument above, I believe that as a characterization of classical Chinese culture in the modern media environment, archaic music has a genuine benefits for spreading in the specific audience.In the modern media environment, the Chinese classical culture has begun to carry out the reproduction of itself using the Internet communication environment and electronic art production technology. It is in the spirit of traditional culture as the core, takes modern pop culture such as network pop music as the carrier, and constructs new ways of expression. But these new ways of expression are the reconstruction of classical culture. Audience should be guided to study and understand the real Chinese classical culture.
