This paper is a translation project report, which is about the translation process of the latter part of Chapter 5 and the first half of Chapter 7 from the book Recreation, Event and Tourism Businesses written by well-known American professors Robert E. Pfister and Patrick T. Tierney. I write about the translation process in this translation report, which is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction of the translation project, including project background and significance of the project, and source book description including authors, contents of the book and text style characteristics. Second part is about three rules of Skopos Theory. The third part introduces the application of the specific translation methods under the guidance of each rule, which is combined with specific examples of translation analysis, including inversion and amplification. The fourth part is a summary of the entire translation process, including lessons and inspiration concluded from translation practice. |
