According to the changes of cultural, political and social life, language is alsochanging. Language of the country consists of literature and not literature language.Slang is the part of not official language of the country.People who use slang language want to express yourself, theirs life style and bedifferent from other people. Recently slang has become not only the language ofevery day’s life, but in the newspapers, magazines, on TV it appears more often dayby day. Using slang is popular among people, especially among young generation.Russia and China are very big countries. Russian and Chinese culture, traditionsand way of life are totally different. Through language we can understand deeperthese countries superstitions, life styles, desires, etc. Literature and not literaturelanguage reflect national character, society, culture. There are a lot of slang words inRussian and Chinese languages. Lots of linguists already have made some researchesabout Russian and Chinese languages, but not so much articles about comparison ofRussian and Chinese slang, that’s why this theme is relevant in our days.This article is about Russian and Chinese slang. First of all, we described thedefinition of slang, its characteristics and functions in people’s social life, thenRussian and Chinese slang, its history, features and functions. In the end we comparedRussian and Chinese slang.In the process of writing the article, writer’s abilities and reference werecircumscribed. But I hope this article will help people who will continue research ofRussian and Chinese slang.
