This paper aimed at the research of the calligraphy development for Kai Fa in the early Tang Dynasty with expecting to explore the contribution factors for its development on the basis of social and cultural thoughts in the early Tang Dynasty. Three masters in the early Tang Dynasty who are Master Ou Yangxun, Master Yu Shinan and Master Chu suiliang were applied for the exploration of such development.Master Ou Yangxun, Master Yu Shinan and Master Chu suiliang not only had great influences on artistic achievements in Tang Dynasty, but also played an important role in politics, academics in their times. They had played a critical role in the development of Kai Fa in the early Tang Dynasty and had great and outstanding contributions to its development in various aspects. Master Ou Yangxun has established the structural mode for the calligraphy in the early Tang Dynasty; Master Yu Shinan generally carried forward the concept of brush using style when performing the calligraphy of the early Tang dynasty; while Master Chu suiliang, who integrated the above two Masters’styles, fused the cursive styles of“Two masters of Mr Wangs”into the regular script, which consummated the Kai Fa.
