In listening, speaking, reading and writing these four basic language skills, listening is ahead of the other three in whatever language learning. The quality of the teaching book is one of the most important factors that will affect the classroom listening training. But textbook writing will be affected by the content and the format of language test, especially HSK. This article applies the research method of statistical analysis and comparative analysis to count and analysis the topics, language materials and questions set of “The Feng Guang Han Yu” and HSK4’s listening part. And besides to contrast the results of these two, the writer found that there are many problems in the set of topics, language materials and questions of “The Feng Guang Han Yu”. Aimed at these shortages, and consulted with the washback effect of HSK4, the writer give some improvement suggestions, such as topics must highlight the targeted of the listening book, and also pay attention to the matching problems between the topics, the matching problems between materials difficulty and the students ’ acceptance, during the materials setting, pay attention to the diversity of exercise and the linkage of difficulty in coordinated books.
