| Speech act theory advocates that "speaking is doing".In the process of language learning,mastering various types of speech acts and their discourse forms is important to improve learners’ communicative competence.For Chinese learners,the most direct language input materials and the most realistic learning guidelines are the example sentences in the textbooks.And spoken language textbooks are more conducive to the study of speech act organization because of their conversational chapter structure.There is not much research on the speech acts in spoken language textbooks of Chinese,so it is necessary to study the arrangement of various speech acts in spoken language textbooks.Based on the speech act theory,this paper uses qualitative description and quantitative analysis to investigate the speech act arrangement in the spoken language textbooks of FENGGUANG HANYU.Firstly,the types and distribution of speech acts in the textbooks as a whole are statistically analyzed,and then three speech acts,namely suggesting,requesting and praising,are selected for specific analysis.Through a detailed examination of the overall speech acts and the arrangement of the three speech acts in the textbooks,the following conclusions were drawn: the overall arrangement of speech acts in the teaching materials is dominated by expressives,in addition to showing the characteristics of more suggestions and more requests.There are few declarations speech acts and a lack of assertive speech acts.In terms of suggestion speech acts,direct suggestion sentences are predominant,with more direct statementtype and supplication-type suggestion sentences and fewer moderate-type and inquirytype suggestion sentences.In request speech acts,the materials cover direct strategies,statutorily indirect strategies and non-statutorily indirect strategies,with direct strategies dominating.In terms of praise speech acts,the topic of "ability and achievement" dominates among the praise topics;among the praise vocabulary,adjectives are mainly used;among the sentence forms,the most frequently used sentence form is "pronoun/noun +(degree adverb)adjective".Based on the analysis results,the author makes some suggestions on the arrangement of speech acts in the textbook from five perspectives: progressive,realistic and natural,diversity,contemporary and cultural,in the hope that it can play a certain reference role in the arrangement of speech acts in Textbook for Spoken Chinese as a Foreign Language. |
