Due to the particularity of Clutching words itself and its plentiful forms, we can often hear errors of Clutching words no matter where we are in the Chinese Teaching as a Second Language or when we have a conversation with foreigners in Chinese, especially among the Medium-Senior Level.The purpose of this essay is to research the Medium-Senior Level foreign students’ cognitive competence and errors made by using Chinese Clutching Words, then to give the types of the Clutching Words’ errors, and talk about the reason why so many foreign students use the Clutching Words by the wrong way, and give the Teaching Strategies of Clutching Words, and thus to put forward some advice to other scholars or teachers who teach Chinese as a second language.This essay mainly comprises:Introduction Researches on Clutching words in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.Chapter1Survey and Analysis of Clutching Words use among foreign students at Medium-Senior level which includes the object of the investigation/the purpose of the investigation/the steps of the investigation/the data of the investigation/the analysis of the data.Chapter2Analysis of Clutching Words errors by foreign students at Medium-Senior level.
