A Primary Study On Research Of Zhengzhenduo About Drama

Zheng Zhenduo is China’s famous cultural master, he makesvarious contribuition in his academic study, he works in a widerange of area and has lots of fruitful results. His achievement in thefield of drama has an extensive influence on the culture carreer atthat time and later development in China. So far, the academicstudy of Zheng Zhenduo in china is more focused on his history ofliterature and folk literature and the drama study puts moreemphasis on his achievement and contribution in documents ofdrama. In view of this point, this article tries to further enrich thecontent of research on Zheng Zhenduo, through making a completearrangement of his relevant theoretical research in drama field,and having profound thoughts and analysis about his specificcontribution in traditional opera and poetic drama.This paper deeply analyzes Zheng Zhenduo ’s discourses andideas of poetic drama in the study of the history of drama.Comparing with the contemporary study of related issues, theauthor puts the different results of the Zheng Zhenduo in theresearch course of each problem in order to have a comprehensiveunderstanding of his important role and acadamic significance inpoetic drama study. The main body of this paper includes six parts:the first part is Zheng Zhenduo’s drama research under the big background of drama studies in the20th century, which lay thefoudation of his important status and contribution in the20thcentury. The second part mainly discusses the work done by ZhengZhenduo about drama document. He takes chance to search andrescue literature documents, sparing no effort, which can be seenfrom his efforts to protect many important drama documents. Onthe basis of combing Zheng Zhenduo ’ s collected drama, by sorting,organizing drama literature, publishing, propagation, it is easy tosee his great achievements in searching and rescuing of dramadocuments, in index making, in version and emendation of dramadocuments. The third part, four, five draw the outline of ZhengZhenduo’s views in drama research which are efforts-taking andinfluencial. He has a wide scope of study on yuan drama, with themost problems and highest achievements, including the origin anddevelopment of yuan drama, stage, reasons for its popularity,subject, system and research about the writer guanhanqing, etc.Involved in the Ming dynasty, Ming dynasty, the appearance of thecharacteristics of the world of Chinese opera, south zaju and ZhengZhenduo worship Ming writer Zhu Youdun research. Qing dynasty,Zheng Zhenduo think is "elegance of the literati drama", andaccording to the characteristics of the drama in the qing dynasty tothe qing dynasty, the historical stages of quartering. The last part ofpaper characteristics makes a preliminary summary on ZhengZhenduo drama. Zheng Zhenduo ’s drama research achievementdepends on its own broad perspective, a new study idea, uniqueresearch methods and the use of the latest research materials. MrZheng Zhenduo’s drama research influenced the whole drama research areas: first, fill the blank of the field of yuan drama;Second, Zheng Zhenduo walk in the forefront of the drama study andfurther consolidate the foundation of drama research; Moreover,Zheng Zhenduo’s main influence to the later generations isembodied in discovery of zaju data and the application of newmethods. Indeed, Mr Zheng Zhenduo has obtained manyachievements in drama research, but at the same time, he alsoleft some defects and shortcomings. For some problems, we shouldhold a objective view, so as to provide reference for future researchon Zheng Zhenduo.
